Mrs.TupperMrs. Tupper School Social Worker

I am originally from Southern California and moved to Northern Virginia in 2001. I graduated from California State Polytechnic University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I received my master’s in Social Work from University of Southern California. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), since 2003. This is my third year at Coates Elementary (Go Stars!) and my first year at Floris Elementary (Go Eagles!), but I have worked for Fairfax County Public Schools since 2006. Prior to working for FCPS, I worked in a variety of mental health settings, the majority being in the hospital setting as a psychiatric Social Worker. Through my various assignments I have become knowledgeable in all aspects of applying family systems theory, practice, interventions, and case management services.

I’m very excited to continue working with students and families in the Herndon community. I’m dedicated to all student’s growth, success, and their well-being! In my spare time I love spending time with my seven-year-old son, husband, family and friends. I enjoy traveling, playing, gardening, reading, and biking. If you would like to reach out to me, please contact the school’s front office, or send me an email.
