Ms. Brennan has been an educator in Fairfax County Schools for 13 years. She has taught 2nd-5th grade, been a Reading Specialist and Instructional Coach. Most recently, she was a Literacy Collaborative Coach at Mount Vernon Woods Elementary in Alexandria. She is passionate about seeing students succeed and loves to help kids connect with books. She has many favorites that she would love to share with you; just ask! |
Mrs. Buck joined the Coates team in 2015 as a math specialist. She started her teaching career in Ohio as a first grade teacher. She then moved to New England and taught middle school math and science. Finally, she moved to Virginia to begin her FCPS teaching career. Mrs. Buck graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio with her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and obtained her masters from NOVA Southeastern University. She can often be found watching one of her three kids playing sports. Mrs. Buck loves MATH!! In her free time, she loves to travel all over the world. Her most recent trip took her to Bogota, Colombia to pick up her newly adopted son. |
Mrs. Saraswathula (aka Mrs. S) has been an Instructional Assistant with FCPS since 2010, and at Coates since 2012. Mrs. S substituted for a year before that. Mrs. S holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and has worked as an accounted for nearly 10 years prior to teaching. Mrs. S lives in the Coates community area. She has two sons, one pursuing his MD, and the second in High School.
