4th Grade Bios

Ms. OdangoMs. Diaz 4th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Diaz joined the Coates 4th grade team in 2015. She started her teaching with Coates Elementary and is currently continuing to teach 4th grade there. Mrs. Diaz graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Early and Elementary Education and obtained her masters degree in Education from George Mason University. She can often be seen playing with her daughter and enjoying a good book. Mrs. Diaz loves sports and enjoys cheering on the Redskins and Wizards at their games.

Ms. SeymourMs. Middlebrook 4th Grade Teacher

Ms. Middlebrook joined the Coates 4th grade team in 2014. She is going into her third year as an AAP teacher . Ms. Middlebrook graduated from George Mason University with her graduate degree in Elementary Education. She can often be seen reading, knitting or playing with dogs. Ms. Middlebrook loves going to the beach with family and friends during the summer and snowboarding/ skiing in the mountains in the winter.

Mrs. RodriguezMrs. Rodriguez 4th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Rodriguez was born and raised in St. Croix, USVI. She moved to Maryland in 2005, and moved to VA shortly thereafter. She obtained a Masters Degree in Education: Teaching and Learning. Mrs. Rodriguez joined the Coates family as a 4th grade teacher this school year. Prior to teaching at Coates, Mrs. Rodriguez has taught 4th grade at Shrevewood ES (FCPS). She has also taught 6th Grade (VI), 7th and 8th grade math and science (VI), and Head Start (VA). In her free time, she enjoys participating in a wide range of activities with her family. She looks forward to connecting and learning from the Coates staff as well as students and parents in the community.

Miss. Tambor Ms. Tambor  4th Grade Teacher

Ms. Tambor joined the Coates 4th grade team in 2010. This will be her 9th year teaching at Coates. Ms. Tambor graduated from Emory and Henry College with her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. She obtained her masters in Elementary Education from East Tennessee State University. She can often be seen spending time with her family (especially her 6 and 2 year old nephews) and friends. Ms. Tambor loves being outside, going to the beach, and traveling to new destinations.
