Mr. Bell Dennis is native to northern Virginia and has a Bachelors degree from West Virginia University and acquired his teaching credentials from ODU. He is the proud father of 2 daughters, lives in Fairfax, and enjoys walking, camping, swimming and lounging. |
Ms. Ceglie Ms. Ceglie joined the Coates 4th grade team in 2019. She previously taught one year of high school world history before joining Coates as a student intern during the 2018-2019 school year. Ms. Ceglie graduated from Christopher Newport University with her undergraduate degree in Communications Studies and obtained her master’s degree in Education from George Mason University. She can often be seen coaching basketball, cooking, or playing with her dogs. Ms. Ceglie loves going to the beach with family and friends during the summer and coaching basketball at James Madison High School in the winter. |
Ms. Diaz Mrs. Diaz joined the Coates 4th grade team in 2015. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Early and Elementary Education and obtained her masters degree in Education from George Mason University. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially watching her daughter's basketball games, playing cars with her son, or checking out new food spots as a family and enjoying each other's company. |
Mrs. Edwards Mrs. Edwards joined the Coates Family in 2021. She started her teaching career in Hawaii and received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She’s taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. She feels right at home at Coates where it’s just as diverse as Hawaii! When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures, and shopping! |
Ms. Irey Ms. Irey joined the Coates team in 2023. She graduated from the University Of Virginia with her undergraduate degree in English and obtained her master’s degree in Education from George Mason University. She started her teaching career in FCPS, where she has taught 4th, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade and has also taught in LCPS. She lived overseas for several years in Austria, France, Greece, and The Netherlands. She has 3 wonderful children, cats, and a giant white furry dog from Romania. Ms. Irey enjoys traveling (especially to the beach), paddle boarding, gardening, and reading. She spends a lot of time watching her youngest son's baseball games! |
Ms. Johson-Moore Ms. Johnson-Moore, a proud native of Queens, New York, is excited to embark on her first year as a teacher at Coates Elementary. Before joining Coates, she was a teacher’s assistant for two years, working with both 5th and 2nd graders in her hometown. Ms. Johnson-Moore earned her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Johnson-Moore loves spending time with friends, diving into a good book, journaling, and exploring new cultures through travel. She looks forward to contributing to the vibrant learning community at Coates Elementary and supporting her students' growth and development. |
