Title I

Title I is a federal program that serves schools throughout the United States and was reauthorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The purpose of this legislation is "to provide all children significant opportunities to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps."

This program provides extra help to our students to assist them in meeting state and local education standards. There are four major goals of the program:

1) Improve language arts strategies and skills;

2) Develop math concepts and skills;

3) Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

4) Encourage family involvement in the education of children.
